• Please check current fire regulations. Having an oven plugging into a socket allows for easy removal in case of fire. Most states have this law. Your old oven might have been installed before said law.

• You should be able to have an electrician wire an outlet in for you fairly easy.

• No, I actually exchanged my hard wired stove for this one... had to hire an electrician to update the wiring. It cost me $230 for an electrician to change it over. No these stoves cannot be hard wired, the plug that comes along with it replaces the hard wiring capability.
