“I have a mount from my old tv. I realized that the old screws didn't fit my new Samsung 50". I checked this site and saw it said: 4 x M8 screws, 20-22mm length, and 1.25mm pitch. I bought those, but only the top two seem to fit. Also, do I need washers?”

It’s the wall mount thread depth in the TV chassis. Make sure to add the wall mount bracket thickness to the thread depth for minimum screw length. If that is not working, you could use washers (supplied with the wall mount) to adjust the length. If you are having issues with the screws not threading into the bottom mount holes, please double-check that they are the same screws as the ones that worked in the top.
