“the legs seem like they should go in further than they do but I don't want to break the tv trying to jam them in further. Are they supposed to have a an inch or so gap between the bottom of the tv and legs?”

Hi DaveW, When installing the legs, be sure that they are on correctly "R" on the right. "L" on the left. The legs will slant outwards towards the edges of the TV. When the legs are inserted into the correct holes in the proper direction, you will hear a "click" when they are inserted all the way. ~Samsung Advisor
