• Hi Moose! When mounting TVs above a fireplace, it is recommended to have a mantle between the fireplace and the TV to avoid direct heat on the TV. The TU7000 is not heat resistant and features a safe operating temperatures range from 50°F to 104°F (10°C to 40°C). ^Tim
