• Works in mine fine. Worst case, may get a problem with sd card not staying recognized. That can be fixed by making sure it's fully inserted. And if it persists, reformat it to NTFS format to increase the stability. SD cards default to exFat format when shipped for best compatibility.

• You will have to check the documentation for your surface to see if it supports SDXC cards or cards that are larger than 32GB. Best of luck.

• I do not know about the surface pro 3 but I can personally say this works with the 1st gen surface RT.

• No reason why it should not work with any devices. Generally it is just extra memory like a flash drive / stick.
