• If the laptop has a compatible port, definitately. It also makes a great way to transfer data between a laptop and desktop or tablet. I use mine as a storage bank for steam games and some videos to exchange when using between desktop and surface 3.

• This is for tablets or smart phones. You might use it in a laptop with an adapter as a flash drive. This is not memory for a laptop or desktop....

• Keep in mind, this is a micro SD card. All you need for a laptop is a regular SD card. Answer = Yes. It would basically be an external memory device. I'm assuming that your laptop has a SD card slot. Once the SD card is plugged into your laptop, then you have two options. 1- Save new files directly onto your SD card. 2- Move existing files onto your SD card.
