• Most definitely. Once set up make sure to go into the settings and choose the correct picture mode for what you're watching

• Same as standard hd with out 4K programming it's just hd.

• It will look better because of the pixels the tv has. You won't get 4k without it being broadcasted from your provider. Verizon fios currently has the best broadcast picture for this tv. I've noticed a huge difference.

• HD 1080p still looks good on this TV. It up-scales the video (UHD) to higher video but its not 4k resolution. Only movies filmed in 4k will be truly 4k.
