• You can use that receiver but if it is not equipped with an optical port you might lose some really good sound.The best sound is optical from cable box to receiver and hdmi from cable box to tv

• Unless your receiver has a digital(fiber optic) audio input, you'll have to upgrade. The only audio output on the TV is a digital (fiber optic).

• It's best to get a newer receiver that supports HDCP2.2 4K if not you won't be able to watch 4 k through your receiver that is with direct tv
