“Can this TV connect to cable box/router via wifi, or does it need to be connected by HDMI cords? I just moved into house that has old cable setup and my TV is about 4 years old and cannot connect thru wifi.”

I just purchased this TV for the same reason ( my TV didn't connect to WIFI either) and this TV does so no need for a wired connection. It also comes with tons of preloaded apps which can be accessed by using the remote: Netflix, Prime, Apple TV, and Hulu to name a few. If you have a Samsung tablet or Android phone it will also connect to them wirelessly and mirror the device screen. It has a awesome picture and very sound quality as well. I use Rise Broadband satellite for my internet/WIFI which has a very slow speed for streaming and this TV does not buffer at all. The connection seems strong.
