The art display stays on as long as a television program is not being shown and the ambient light sensor and motion sensor detect activity in the room. The sensor sensitivities can be changed, but essentially the art display stays on anytime someone is in the room to see it. It cannot be changed to a mirror mode.
Sorry, there was a problem. The art mode can stay on for varying time frames which you can adjust in the settings from as little as about 15 minutes to I believe over an hour. There is also a sensor that will allow the TV art mode to turn on when someone enters the room so that the TV will not be constantly on, but will display your set picture when someone would be present to enjoy it. I do not know of a specific mirror feature, however, perhaps there is a picture that someone will create that could possibly mimic a mirror, but this is not a feature of the TV itself. The art mode is a great feature if you are looking to display art work when you are not actively watching TV.
