“My husband cannot tolerate the whiteness/brightness of the screen and can't find a way to make the screen darker and take away the headache causing glaring look to it. Any suggestions? He wants to return the tv for an NU8000 for a darker screen.”

Go to the preset settings and switch to movie mode it tends to have a darker picture. If that is still to bright you can go to advanced settings and adjust brightness , tint, color and all of that. Hope this helped.
