• So I spoke with a representative from Samsung as was suggested. The representative was not much help. He suggested that I connect my soundbar to the TV using an HDMI cable. I would do that but the soundbar only has an optical port. Apparently I need a converter to go from optical to HDMI but it’s not clear to me that that would solve the problem, and more importantly, I’m not sure which one to buy. For the time being, I am going to put up with the inconvenience.
