“I’m trying to connect my Samsung TU9010 86” TV to my surround sound receiver but I do not see an HDMI output, only an optical output. I would rather do HDMI for sound. Is this possible with this TV?”

The HDMI eARC is labeled number 3, that is the one you should connect your sound bar or receiver, If it does not detect it automatically you can set it up manually.
