Regarding the TLC, this drive does use TLC. Samsung uses the term 3-but MLC because the term “Multi” in “MLC” is vague; however, in the SSD industry MLC meant two-bit NAND, and 3-bit NAND is call TLC. Long story short, it is TLC.

Search the internet for "Samsung swapping SSD parts" and read a couple of the articles. Very eye opening. Good luck on your search.

The difference is probably because Samsung's website is listing o version of this product that is intended for sale somewhere other than the U.S. Different regions of the world have varying electrical grids, environmental conditions (heat, humidity, etc.), standards of quality and many other factors which can affect whether a company sells different versions of what is essentially the same product. Check the packaging if you decide to purchase this drive and make sure that it conveys the same information as Best Buy's add. Whether or not you want to believe Samsung's website or Best Buy's, you should absolutely get whatever the package say's that it contains. THAT you can believe..
