Let me correct my previous answer. If you're space is only 36" and you want to fit the washer and all the hoses etc, that is insufficient to what the mfg calls for. So it should be closer to 40.5" of space that you need if you include the manufacturer space spec for the hoses. Washer is 34.5" deep and the hose spec calls for 6" so Could you fudge it and go less space, yes you could, but that is not what the manufacturer suggests. So if you have issues with your washer and did not follow the installation instructions and something goes south, it will be on you.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The specs say that the washer is 34.5" Deep. So to answer you question if your space is 36" not including the space needed for hoses, yes it should be fine. When I bought mine I measured a total of 34.5" for the washer and 6" for the hoses. So my total was 40.5" including the space requirements for the hoses. It fit fine. As a side note, also take into consideration how far the door swings open. with the door open it is something like 21" or 22" protruding from the front of the washer. Of course you don't have to open the door all the way but it is just something to consider. I had a door in front of my washer and after measuring it open on the model in the store, and applying that measurement to the space in front of where the washer would end at the 34.5" It was able to also fit fine in my tiny laundry room. I stacked my washer and dryer to give me more space in the laundry room. You just buy the Samsung stacking kit and it gives you what you need to stack them.
