I leave mine plugged it all the time. One thing I’ve learned though is to double check I’ve snapped the bottom closed before using (after dumpin)

In addition, for you to use the clean station effectively, the power cord of the clean station needs to be run along the round groove at the bottom so that the clean station stands without tilting.
