Memory cards are used in digital cameras, music players, smartphones, tablets, and even laptops. But not all SD cards are created equal — there are different speed classes, physical sizes, and capacities to consider. Different devices require different types of SD cards. There are four different speed classes — 10, 8, 4, and 2. 10 is the fastest, while 2 is the slowest. Class 2 is suitable for standard definition video recording, while classes 4 and 6 are suitable for high-definition video recording. Class 10 is suitable for “full HD video recording” and “HD still consecutive recording
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Class 10 refers to the read-write speed of a memory card. For standard definition video (480p), a Class 2 card is suitable. Class 10 is suitable for 1080p HD video recording. There is also a Class 4 and 6 for video definitions in between such as 720p definition. The higher the class rating, the faster the card can record the amount of information it's receiving.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The class of a card refers to the Speed class. 2Mb/s is a Class 2 card, 10 MB/s is a class 10 card. Speed class 10 is also equivalent to UHS speed class 1. UHS speed class 3 (30 Mb/s) is the fastest class and is best for 4k video recording. Class 2-6 will still record HD just fine but the higher the resolution desired, the higher the Class of memory transfer should be.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Class is the speed of the card. So for example, if you have a nice DSLR you want a higher speed SD card so it can capture and process the images faster. I would recommend purchasing class 10 or higher.
