If you put a new card in your device, it will be clean to store data from the very first moment; and the data of your old memory card will remain in it, unless you format it or wipe it. To re-read your old data stored in your old memory card, you can put it into a reader (many laptops and computers have builtin SD readers, so you'll only need an SD adapter); or buy a SD or microSD card reader (they're cheap; but if it's SD only, you'll need again a card reader). I don't remember if this Samsung card came with a SD adapter; but i have many of them from previous microSD cards (the MicroSD cards used to come with an adapter), and they work well with this new microSD card.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you can, but you can also just back it up to the hard drive of you computer. then you can transfer your data (music, photos, etc.) to your new SD card.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, at least I didn't do any pre-install back up and my stuff transferred over just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the sd card is to be used in a digital camera then I believe you DO want to backup your current pictures onto a computer hard drive or cloud, But pics follow the sd card they are currently on. While it's always a good idea to backup your files too on other devices, like a computer or phone or tablet...no, you don't have to back up What's currently on your device and just insert the additional sd memory card to say, a tablet, and it gives you Additional storage. I hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I did not have to do that. It worked automatically when I transferred the file to my Mac
