“How long will Samsung support the screen with updates etc? I do not want to get stuck with a refrigerator with a screen not working 10 years from now because it can no longer be updated.”

If you can get 10 years out of any fridge that’s already a good thing.. after 10 years it will probably not need to be updated again..
