“I travel a lot between the U.S. and Canada, if I buy the unlocked U.S. version will it work in Canada? I spend more time in Canada but the U.S. deal is a lot better (I save 500$). Also can I simply switch sim cards when traveling? Thanks!”

The unlocked Note 8 is the best choice in this case. It works on both GSM and CDMA carriers. With the dual sim card option, you can just swap between the two.
