What are the two answers from employees? I think you pay the full price and you send the old device to Samsung within 15 days. If it meets the device eligibility requirements, Samsung will send you a refund for the amount of trade-in value. if not, they will value it as only $25. That's all you gonna get and you are not allowed to cancel and get the device back because it's no longer yours. the link below for their device eligibility requirements: https://www.samsung.com/us/trade-in/terms-and-conditions/ I wanted to upgrade to S9 Note because I got some scratches on the backside of my S8. A sales rep told me as long as it's not cracked, the trade-in value is $450. But, that's not what it says on Samsung's website. Multiple scratches are one of the conditions that fail to meet device eligibility. Don't just listen to those sales rep at Best Buys. Make sure that your old device meets the eligibility requirements or else you will only get 25 bucks for it.
