I bought a phone online and picked it up Best Buy. They activated it and transferred all of my contacts, text messages, and photos at no extra charge! My son bought the same phone about a month ago from an independent sales office and had to pay $40 to do the same thing for his phone and an additional $40 to activate a tablet they talked him into, only to find out yesterday that he has to pay a $40 upgrade fee for the phone and a $40 activation fee for the tablet to the cell phone service carrier as well.
