I had to buy the bring your own phone card (multiple sim cards from each of the main carriers) from strait talk for ATT. they sent me a verizon phone and i had to send it back as verizon did not work well in my area. use caution in dealing with strait talk customer service, i got the run around bad and went through nine people before they admitted to sending the wrong phone, and they said it would take up to four weeks to see the refund on my account. My solution was to buy a unlocked phone and find out what carrier work in my area (ATT). In short this phone works well with strait talk but the carrier is what you need to make sure of for connectivity in your area, and look at areas you may visit frequently to make sure you will have coverage there as well.
