• No. The phone will work with AT&T. You just need the SIM card from your old phone. The Samsung takes the micro SIM so your old card might need to be cut down though. It surprised me, but it works!

• I also have AT&T and the people at Best Buy were able get the phone set up perfectly for me! There was an extra charge of like $5 for the SIM card because my old phone had the older large SIM. It was an old LG slider.
