- Answer I'm an Consumer Cellular subscriber and set the phone myself and the transition from my previous phone, Galaxy S5, was simple. I transferred my provider card & SD card to the appropriate slots which recognized both immediately, required no interaction with Consumer Cellular at all. Samsung uses a smart switch app that transfers your info to your S8 simply without any knowledge required on your part.

- Answer As far as I know, (it may not cover everything), the phone bought from a carrier may be updated the same time as they update their branded phones. Unlocked is updated at different times. Also, the unlocked version does not carry the carrier specific apps that come pre-downloaded. Unlocked can be used with GSM or CDMA right off the bat also.

- Answer Yes, the iPhone 5s SIM card will work in the S8. I had an iPhone 5s and just recently bought the S8 and the SIM card worked fine in the S8. Best Buy wont change out your SIM card. I had my cell phone provider do it. Best Buy did transfer my Contacts from the iPhone to the S8 - although while the majority of transferred - not all names and numbers did transfer.

- Answer We were told by the salesman at Best Buy that the benefit of buying an unlocked phone is that it can be used with any carrier. You just have to purchase the SIM card for the carrier you want.

- Answer I have the unlocked Samsung galaxy s8 which I purchased @ Best Buy and I checked on my phone and as of right now I can not find Russian language supported and supposedly it is "RUMORED" that perhaps in the 4th quarter via Bixby more languages may be supported but is very vague as to what languages may be supported.
