As long as your sim card is the micro sim it will work. I purchased the same phone and I am with AT&T and it worked perfectly.

I am not sure about T-mobile, BUT my att sim card did just that. Check with t-mobile though as when I had an issue att would not help me with it as it was an unlocked phone. The folks at Best Buy were great and it is a great phone. IF you currently have an android phone I would set up a google account and transfer all your settings and contacts to sync with that account just in case. Also to a sd card if you have one in your current phone.
