No, the shouldn't be any hidden charges. The only way I can see that happening is if you get some kind of apps that you do have to pay for over time. Same with the fire tablet; I had one of those for my son and never got any charges after having it...unlwas you download some kind of apps/programs on the tablet that you do have to pay for.
