The advertised Galaxy Tab A9+ would not require a cellular plan in order to be fully functional. This version of tablet is a Wi-Fi enabled tablet so if you have Wi-Fi as your home internet, you can easily connect this tablet and it will be fully functional. • It can just connect to your home network just like any laptop, desktop, cell phone...etc.

• No, you do not need to have any type of data plan to use this tablet. You can connect it to your home wifi connection or even with an ethernet cable - providing you are using a USB C to Ethernet Adapter.
