• Aloha, thank you for asking us your question about the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+. The advertised Galaxy Tab A9+ is the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Only version of this tablet. It is fully functional while in the presence of a steady Wi-Fi signal or when a mobile hotspot is utilized. Feel free to reach out to Support if you have any other questions. Thank you for being a faithful Samsung customer. - Debra

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.

• It will connect to whatever wifi source you have. If you have a mobile hotspot through your phone plan as i do, that suffices. Otherwise, there is an option to add it to your phone plan, just don’t ask me how-i don’t know. ;)

• I'm pretty sure he'd need a plan. You can ask your local Geek Squad to be sure!
