The Air Pad without the phone is about $200 more than the Galaxy, and from there the IPad prices go up rapidly. My Galaxy is just the pad only, and not phone capable. The IPad and the Galaxy can connect to the WiFi, which is great. Last basic thing is the IPad has a slightly larger screen, but not significantly larger. Storage on both is limited, so a card may be needed to add on programs.
