If you do it as "internal" then another device (like a windows computer) won't see the extra memory (only the tablet will recognize the extra memory) so you first have to put your files to the small built-in memory, then move them over to the additional "internal memory" that the SD card creates. A bit of a hassle, but doable. If having a lot of memory for a ton of apps is important to you, this may not be the tablet for you. But if you can get by with what you get (or using the above methods with an SD card) the tablet has a really nice, sharp, bright 1280x800 screen and very good battery life. To each his own.
