“Would this tablet be able to be synced with my laptop computer and used as a dual screen function? I would like to be able to take notes on this tablet during class, but when I am home I would like to sync to my computer to use two as cohesive unit.”

If it can be used as a second screen, although the option is somewhat hidden, I would recommend watching one of the videos I attached. And if it can be used to take notes in Samsung Notes, I do it and it is very practical, but to be able to synchronize your notes with the tablet and the computer you would have to find a way to download the same application on both devices.
