Try a magnetic charging cable best buy doesn't sell them. With a magnetic charging cable, the cord will come loose, but the chargerhead will not get knocked loose. It won't wiggle inside of the port thus, any damage is minimal. Although eventually, the magnet will wear down so chunks of it will come off, and it won't connect right after sometime. probably in the range of several months to maybe a year or more. I've been using mine for quite a few years, though.
