Not sure about it working with a cspire......however answering your question about the same carrier means if your phone service is with Verizon then your LTE watch has to be activated on Verizon also. You're watch can be the unlocked version or the Verizon version. Whatever Carrier you have will charge you at least $10 per month for the watch to have standalone LTE service. Verizon is $10 a month.
