The apple watch only supports Apple/ios devices. I'd get that if you have an ios apple device. The Watch5 Pro can be used with almost any android device phone, as long as you can get the galaxy wearable app on your android device. The Watch5 Pro can be for anyone. If you like wearing watches, and like the look of it as a watch, get it. If you like smart watches that can assist in monitoring your health (to an extent anyways), get it. There are options available instead of the Watch5 Pro though, like the watch 5, watch 4, etc. They did remove the rotating bezels on the Watch 5 and Watch5 Pro though. Check a few of them out in person, find your personal taste with regard to wrist comfort, fit, finish and build quality. The Watch5 Pro does offer medical info you can enter, so medical responders can easily see it, if the SOS or hard fall detection has been enabled. SOS emergency call/texts to contacts of your choice is available. Hard fall detection that also contacts people of your choice is available too. The sensors can measure a plethora of things like steps, heart rate (will provide info on your rate if it's normal for resting, moving, being active, etc), blood oxygen, body composition with body fat, daily activities with calories burned, there's a sleep coach, breathing coach, you can measure stress, it offers women's health, track water consumed, your sleep time, snoring detection is offered, food consumption tracking, as well as auto workout tracking, and more. This is a beast watch and looks very elegant, stylish and is very well built. The ability to change out almost any 20mm watch band/strap offers insane customization too.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't speak on the apple watch but I have the watch 5 pro and it's very awesome for heart montoring. If you get the Samsung watch 5 pro, I highly recommend getting the cardiogram app. It documents accurate readings in graph and data form that can be downloaded in csv and pdf form. I use it for neurological related disorders that affect my heart rate and I've collect very good data to be able to share with my specialists. If you look at my review, I compare the difference between the Samsung health monitoring for heart rate and cardiogram and I include pictures of what both data collections look like.
