I couldn't agree with you more on the HDMI ARC - I was on the phone with Geek Squad after spending a ridiculous amount of time trying to troubleshoot, including the manuals, youtube videos, etc...bascially the Geek Squad support person said that the 'sometimes' just don't work. Not sure how that can be an answer in this day and age.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HDMI ARC very buggy tech. Here's the solution. Unplug power to all devices in your av stsytem. TV, receiver, sound bar...all of them. Must unplug not just turn off. Wait at least 10 minutes. Turn on TV One at a time turn on other devices in your AV system until they are all on. Wait 10 secs between each device as you turn them on. ARC should work again until the next time it gets corrupted. Better to use optical out from tv rather than ARC
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yup same thing is happening to me aswell. with all these issues being the same and amount of people Samsung should Give us the same quality next step up version for the amount of money we spent on this. And then they take away Dolby Atmos from certain programs? Are you kidding me? Thats 1 of the major reasons I purchased this and the Q80t TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We noticed this same problem after the day it was installed/connected. Called back the technician and came back after 10 days. It seemed that he fixed it. And again after 5 days, the ARC/HDMI connection is not being recognized by the TV(Samsung Q90). We called Geek Squad for system check and came after more than a week. Presently it is working but I'm not sure for how long(but noticed I have to go to settings after turning it on; goes to TV speaker as sound source). The second technician said he saw/heard few of this issue with this sound bar. He would like to try the optimum cable next time. But as we have read on BB web site that ARC/HDMI output sound is the best. Undecided what to do next in case we lose the signal again
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Add me to this list of people that continuously has isseus with HDMI ARC. I find this to be unacceptable for the amount of money we dished out for this unit. No one seems to have an answer as to how to fix the problem. Does Samsung think it is feasable to send this hunking piece of equipment in for service everytime this happens. Buyers beware!
