Hi there! The HW-Q600C Soundbar should be placed with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. If you do place it flat with the logo facing toward you then you will experience low-quality audio and surround sound from the soundbar because the front-firing speakers will be facing down or up. ~ Samsung Solutions
