Hello Traveler, There are 2 ways you can activate Private Rear Sound which turns off all the front-firing speakers and allows only audio to come out of the rear speakers, or Sound Grouping which will allow will sync the rear speakers with the soundbar to play the same sound in harmony. You can use the SmartThings app on your mobile device, navigate to the soundbar settings, and select either of them or use your soundbar remote by pressing the Sound Control button and selecting one of them. ~ Samsung Solutions
