I believe this system uses M.2 / MSATA for its SSD so a standard laptop sized 2.5in drive would not work however you can swap the other out. M.2 is used because of it's small size and drastic max speed advantage to regular SATA III. M.2 is also very expensive and only a couple of companies make them best actually being samsung. Because of this high price and the need to take apart the laptop to access it I personally would suggest either a portable SSD if speed is needed, Samsung makes a very good one thats very. If max speed is not required and you dont want to carry additional accessories; a high capacity class 10 SD card can slip right into the side of the computer and is cleverly hidden on the slope of the aluminum underbody. I've seen 256gb class 10 SD cards for as low as $80, just shop around and you can find some great deals.
