Please try again later.Embarrassed to answer my own question, especially since it cost $3500 and a sore back to find out, but NO, you can't watch any streaming apps in a window. This and many other issues are forcing me to return this beast sometime in the next week. The only people who could love this monitor are the reviewers who got it for free.

Even worse, you can't use the Samsung browser for Netflix so you can't multiscreen a work PC and the included Samsung browser and use that browser for Netfilx or HBO. It sucks!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, but that's true for any device and the reason is that it breaks the HDCP handshake. Now keep in mind you could probably RDP to your desktop instead of using a physical connection and then try the App, but that might not work either. Also, this wouldn't be a perfect solution for gaming either.
