• Yes, in vertical mode it almost touches the desk, if you want it to do that

• no, the stand has a limitation that wont allow you to do that

• When switching to the vertical position, it, unfortunately, does not allow you to lower the height. This is probably due to keeping the monitor from getting damaged.
