• A:Answer They are two completely different things. GPS is the same as the location services used on your mobile phone. You can use it with Mao apps and I use it to track running and walking routes and distances. LOCKED vs UNLOCKED refers to mobile data services thru a mobile network (AT&T, Verizon, T-mobile etc.) An unlocked phone can be used on any 4g/5g network you want to subscribe to. Whereas a locked phone is "locked" to a specific wireless carrier. If you want to use your watch without being tethered to your smartphone via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, spend the extra $$ to purchase the unlocked version so you can choose any wireless carrier, and be able to switch if you want to later on.

• A:Answer Yes, it usually will sync with your phone on wifi during set it up. If you choose the LTE version you can set it up with a line from your phone company also to be able to make calls/text even if you arent near your phone.
