Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hub is required. Bulbs that can be controlled with out a hub are WiFi bulbs. Sengled is a brand that offers an affordable WiFi bulb that does not require a hub.

I did not purchase a hub, but instead I used my Alexa Echo Show (2nd generation) as a hub and the light is working as it should. I am not sure about other devices and of they too act like a hub (like unsure if Google home acts as a hub, or if the Echo Show generation 1 would act like a hub, or other brands).
