• I have a Samsung smart TV and I bought the non-wi fi Blu-ray player. My TV is connected to the cable box with a HDMI cable. When I first installed the Blu-ray, I could not update it because it did not have a wireless connection to the modem. So I bought a really short Cat5 cable and connected the cable receiver to the Blu-ray and I can now update the Blu-ray thru the internet. The instructions do not tell you this. And yes, the salesperson was correct.

• Should you return what? The DVD player? I would not return the blu ray player. If you are purchasing a smart TV then you DO NOT NEED a wifi blu ray DVD player.

• I would go with the non-wifi to guarantee the best internet connection . It will make a difference .I found this out using the Skynet Edition on Terminator 2 : Judgement Day .
