“If I used this device to backup my photos(galaxy s23U) and then delete the photos off of my Google photos, the pictures would still be SAFE on the drive, yes? I'm trying to clear my Google photos WITHOUT losing the items on my phone.”

Yes. I am moving 120 gb worth of photos from my computers to this device. Scan disk has bewn having issues of loosi g data i have been seeing. Go woth this one samsung
