Yes, i loaded. Mp3s and .mp4 movies for vacation. It worked without a hitch, but uploading was slow.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The spec say this will hold 16,000 mp3 songs. I don't see any reason it wouldn't work with a Chrome OS it works with downloads using the Chrome browser.

As far as playing them on go; all you need is a media player on your chromebook that is accessible offline and your should be good. i would try a flash drive you already have and try playing it on there with your wifi off. if it works than your in the clear

I am not too familiar with the encryption on Chrome OS or why you would need it since Chrome is an open source program. In reality as long as you have a program that allows you to access and play off the flash drive, you are good to go. I hope this helps.
