- Answer Yes if you only backing up about 225gb of data. After formatting you will loose a bit of storage, and you need to leave about 3% free so there is no danger of data loss.

QuestionI want to use this USB drive for system image and back up for Window 7.. I need it to be formatted for NTFS. Will it be formatted that way? And will I be able to use it for system image and back up?

- Answer Yes, you can format it to NTFS, and it is excellent as a system and image backup device (only it is slower than 3.0)...just open the Device Manager and look for your USB drive under the "Disk Drives" area. Right click on that flash drive and select properties, then choose the "Policies" tab and select "Optimize for performance" option. Then you should be good to go.

QuestionCan I format this flash drive "read only" after I fill it with important files so that it is permanent and protected on all pc's? I want to make sure files cannot be modified/deleted by anyone. Also is the formatting reversible so i can modify data?

- Answer Not sure about formatting it to be "read only", but it does come with encryption software, already installed on the drive, that you can use to password protect your files. Hope that helps.
