• The SanDisk drives I've purchased recently have a secure app like program on them tht you can set up with a password. Then you can drag your files into that folder and those files will be protected. When you oppen the flash drive, you run the SanDisk secure folder and enter your password to access that folder. You can also use the flash drive and not use the secure folder, so you can have files that are secured and files that can be accessed by anyone.

• Yes it had a password protected option that you can setup. The files will be encrypted once placed in the password protected section.
