We've absolutely seen this done on a thumb drive for playback on a flatscreen tv. I wish I could tell you if the flik file was compressed smaller. Visit https://forums.sandisk.com. also web search

Please try again later.For Samsung TV's you just plug in TV USB ports on back of TV and TV should auto detect all the files and play most of your selected videos. Some rare video or audio formats Samsungs codecs may not support. It does support common MP4, rmvb,avi,...files. Tcl and Hisense tvs not sure.
