Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm sure you probably purchased a card by now but I will answer this any way. This card would be great with your d5100. I use the Canon t3i which is very comparable to your camera and I have this card. It is a very fast card that allows you to shoot continuous still shots with minimal if any buffering and it really shines when using video. Other slower cards may cause your video to stop or to buffer for several seconds between videos, potentially causing one to miss important moments but this card will keep up. Hope that helps!
